The Aurora Weather App is a personal project that combines animation and Ux/Ui design. This apps concept is to be an alternative weather application to the basic option that comes on the Apple iPhone. Besides creating a new look, this app offers more functionality.
After researching the what weather apps people use and why, I decided to ensure this app has these functions; Radar, 10 day forecast, multiple cities, daily weather information, statistics on for the future day forecast. I also noticed that most people neglected to scroll down to the weather facts below, although they still wanted to know more about the forecast. In contrast, most people preferred to vertically swipe to see the later hours in the day.
This designs offers a more interactive experience to make the weather a little bit more enjoyable. In addition this app uses colored gradients to depict the temperature of each day. The idea is that by simply opening the app you can have an idea what the range in temperature would be based on the colors you perceive.
